Prospects of improving biogas technologies by increasing productivity of the methane generation process due to complex processing of organic waste

This paper aimed at analysing the current state of methods increasing methane generation during treatment organic sewage sludge. The authors considered theoretical principles biogas production and main directions intensification fermentation processes. A chemical study sediments produced plants in city Kharkiv, Ukraine, showed that C/N ratio investigated excess activated sludge is 4–5, mixture primary secondary sediment - 5–6, from sites 6–10, which significantly less than 20:1, limits negative impact increased nitrogen content substrate for fermentation. rising speed first phase output a complex have been determined. promising technologies adding substrates, richer carbon compared to sludge, noted. solution will not only make it possible improve productivity fermenters, but same time resolve issue waste management.
